Richard Keith Van Vranken, longtime resident of El Segundo and supporter of many charities including the El Segundo Ed! Foundation, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017.  Richard worked at Aerospace Corporation for 28 years and was a former mayor and city councilman in El Segundo from 1974 to 1982.

Richard was a 37 year member of the El Segundo Rotary Club and enjoyed attending musical concerts and theatre productions at the schools. He was a member of United Methodist Church, El Segundo Chamber of Commerce, El Segundo Herald and a strong supporter of CASE and the Ed! Foundation.
